If you HAD to sell your Pcar....

What would you get at around $50k? It has to be reliable and be driven 500 miles a week....so comfort is an issue as well....I drove the BMW 5 series, Range Rover Sport (didnt like the Jag engine, wished it had the BMW engine), Volvo S60R, and the Scion Xb (which actually was very fun!), Mini S, and the Honda Accord hybrid (yuch).....ideas?

Used M5 or E55 will probly run over $50k but would be a good choice. New or slightly used M3 would flip the bill too. The prev gen 740i is a classic but no fast.

I'd stay away from XK8 for lack of interior space. Those back seats are really useless, unlike a 996 which can sqeeze childen into. I do like the look though.

i have or had all the cars mentioned above. i found the fx45 and g35 to be very similar but absolutely no fun to drive compared to german cars.

my x5 was a great car and a good commuter, but felt bulky and often getting gas.

i now have an audi S4 as commuter and absolutely love it. it is powerful and handles like on rail. on the other hand, it is comfortable, quiet and with many lux features.

so my vote would be an audi S4 which you can spend 45K and get a 05 with around 10k miles. can't beat that....

Thats option number 1!!!!! The S4 is also in the running. The Jag engine in the RR is just not fun. I had a 06 RR loaner for a week while my 03 was at the dealer and I was SO happy to get my 03 with the BMW engine back....It makes a great noise and has what seems to be much better, usable HP...it may be a great engine, no doubt but compared to the 4.4L BMW V8 it seems more sluggish...The S60R with the full body kit and 6 speed was interesting....but I am not in love with the bland styling and that clutch was the softest, mushiest clutch I have ever felt....Not a fan of the X5....I'll drive an S4, I am an Audi fan and that car has always been interesting. But if I get the Scion, then the P-Car stays! Then start modding that Scion...LOL...Amazing you can get one NEW for under 16K...

go for option 1. if u want 50k car why selling ur Pcar when u can't 50k now?

500 miles a week gas will become another issue, especially in today's price. get a Scion, u can go to Scion meet with Veron & Alberto. maybe we all should buy one & crash the party!

btw, if u have second thought on option 1 go check out the new BMW 330. i think it's a really good choice.

Are Scion safe cars? What's its safety record and crashworthiness?
