K&N air intake deal?

Any one got a better deal on a K&N Air intake than US$300 including S/H to Canada?

That's pretty good, you may want to check out the FabSpeed one, it's dual intake, carbon fiber and looks fantastic! A work of art.

last I checked with Fabspeed, they didn't have the dual intake ready yet for the 996 (this was a couple weeks ago).

Don't waste your money on the K&N system. That is the worst one on the market and will do more harm than good. You're better off with just the drop in element.

I tend to agree here, I put a free flow filter in the original air box and put on the silicone air intake hose and it sounds great, and I don't have to worry about water, and when I clean it I only have to lightly oil the outside so no CEL.

Mine is on it's way (ordered Nov) so they are shipping some units now. A lot of money but I'm just a sucker for anything carbon fiber!

I would be interested in your install and results once you get in on. I agree, it's a lot of money for sound and looks but it really is a nice looking unit.

NineEreven, If you are trying to find the fabspeed product, their website is www.fabspeed.com. Follow the prompts to select Porsche, the 996 products and then you have to scroll down towards the bottom for the product listed as "996 Maxflo Competition Air Intake $795". You maybe getting confused because the picture shows one intake but the caption above the description says something to the affect of under development. As I understand it, the new intake will look similar to the picture of the intake for the GT3 which you have to scroll by to get to the regular 996 listing.

I figured as much but the single intake picture of it threw me off. Thanks!
