Unhappy problem...

i have a 99 carrera...62k 6spd...when at idle without the clutch in it rattles, it sounds almost like a flywheel chatter....when you put the clutch in it goes away. anyone have this problem know or what it is?

Maybe it's your Throw out bearing.
How bad is it?
Mine does that too. I'm not worried about it.

Throwout bearing will only make noise while the pedal is beng pressed or is pressed down. When the pedal is out, it is non functional. I you have the stock dual mass flywheel, you may have a broken spring causing it to rattle.
