There are a number of factors that are involved and taken into consideration (front springs rates, tires, track conditions, race type, etc.); however a soft rear allows more roll at the back of the car, which will be most evident when attempting to exit a corner at speed (i.e., hard on the throttle). This allows force to be applied to the rear wheel that is engaged in the turn allowing for better traction and grip.

 

replaced mine a few years ago put a gt bar on it the price was cheap an install ez and yep i couls tell the df very fllat turning

 

Yeah driving without it on I can really feel the difference in the bends. I think my car had the GT3 since it was hollow. Can't wait to get a new one on soon.
