Is this an RMS leak? I found these drips of oil under the engine.

Thanks.

That is mighty clean oil if it is. An RMS leak will be found dead center under the car.

Maybe a picture of oil on the car would help. For all we know that's a leak from the bottle sitting on the ground

I think it's your coolant system.

Thanks everyone for the help. I think you're right about the coolant leak.

Did you find out what it is? I have the same dripping problem. Is it the coolant, engine oil or RMS?

I will know next Thursday when I bring it into service. I agree with the others it is the coolant since I had a coolant leak in one of the hoses in the past. The sympton of the leak was my front windowshield will fog up if I turn on the AC! I don't know if it was related to the coolant leak, but when the dealership replaced the leaking hose, the "fog up" went away.

Okay, I got the car back from the dealership today. It looks like the coolant hose was leaking again. They replaced the following:

Coolant hose
Water socket
Cover gasket
AS Water neck
Antifreeze

Also, they did two TSIBs/recalls:

"Replace recepticle of XE relay socket"
"Perform W532 Recall"

Excuse my ignorance, I don't have a Porsche but I enjoy this Forum and want to learn.

What is RMS?

REAR MAIN SEAL

Between engine and tranny, Porsche has a flawed design there, and the two parts are often not 100% 'in round' spec. As a result, the seal leaks.

A few hours on the rack, measured for concentricity, if it passes the test, new seal. If it's too far out of round, new engine (in most cases, when under warranty).

Porsche knows and has known of this for many years, yet still denies the flaw exists.
