Please help....installed a sprint booster in my 03 C4S decrease in power

Hello everyone. I just installed a sprint booster in my 03 C4S 6speed. I have installed them before in my previous cayman S and a friends boxter S PDK. It made a huge difference in the response of both cars. Well, I just installed it on my 03 and the response is better but it's like the power has decreased a lot. Like it takes forever to rev past 4k. What has happened? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Almost sounds like the clutch is slipping.

Nah I've experienced that in other Porsches and it's not the clutch. It does it after about 5 minutes of driving in all three modes but if I unhook it, it goes back to normal.

Just wanted to update. After I had installed it and set the console back in place, it kinked the wire which caused the problem. All is good now. It was just a very strange feeling. The car is incredible now. I'm loving the throttle response.

Good find. Because it can't be the Sprint Booster. It only changes throttle response and has nothing to do with engine power.

Exactly. For less than $200 more you could've gotten both throttle response and more power.

I actually really liked the sprint booster on my '04 C2. Really fixed the throttle response on the car, making it way more fun to drive... And I was a huge skeptic.

But I did initially have the same exact 'limp power' problem intermittently, until I found that the connector wasn't fully seated. Once fully seated, never had the problem reoccur.

Although it seems pretty accessible, it is damn hard for me to jam my head and body down into the footwell with my arms reaching up get to the throttle electrical connector. Later, when doing some audio work on my car, I found it was actually a piece of cake to access the throttle connector through the center console radio opening!
