Do you think my tires will hit my rear quarters if....
I use my stock carrera lightweights with 285 18" tires, M030 suspension and 15MM spacers. The edge of the tires look perfectly in alignment with the outer edge of the rear quarter. Does the tire flex in during a hard cornering to prevent rubbing or am I not going to compress the sport suspension enough to rub/hit.
Thanks,
Corey

Do you think I'll damage my quarters or just mess up my tires a bit. Or are we only talking about contact only when on the track (in that case I'll take them off for DEs and such).

that second picture makes them look like they stick out pretty far. however, it looks like you still have quite a gap from the tire to the fender. the m030 is not much lower in the rear. this is relevant because as the wheel moves up, the top of the wheel moves in and the bottom out. so if you are lowered to the point where there is very little gap, you would be more likely to hit the fender as the wheel moves up.
i would think you would be ok. it would be a rare circumstance that you compress the suspension far enough to hit anyway.
if you do hit, it would probably solve the rubbing to roll the fender.

I don't think you would damage the fender. And I really don't think you can hit it anyway. Look at the tire itself and see how rounded it is at the top of the sidewall. that's gives you effectively another inch more of suspension compression before you could hit. These are stiff suspensions and unless you go a Dukes of Hazzard, I just don't see you hitting it.
You can do a test and load up the car with 4 people and head to the supermarket lot where they have big speed bumps and see how close it gets in slow speed controlled tests...

u can do the test even at home if u have a jack & couple thick wood blocks. jack up the car then put the blocks on the opposite corners. let down the jack slowly & u should see the answer urself.
good luck!
one side at the time front first. there's no rule to this as long as u can get the rear to compress. same idea as PorschePRH just something u can do in the garage. we usually test customers' car first before rolling the fenders.
