Question for Arling regarding fender rolling

I just called bodymotion in NJ and asked about rolling the 996's rear quarters. They told me they don't recommend it on a narrow body car since the chance of cracking the paint is very likely. Is this true? Or if you don't use the special tool it's likely and they just don't have it?

More details please on the Baseball bat. I'd have to buy one, but I do have a heat gun, so exactly how hot should I make the fender and what's the exact procedure?

Corey,
i'm not aware the fender material & the paint process are different between the widebody TT/C4S & narrowbody C2 unless i'm missing something. did that sound convincing to u?

i'm not saying rolling the fender is a good thing or bad thing but if u want to achieve the look at the same time not to worry about the tires touching the fenders then u don't have much choice. i need to run out for awhile but i promise to give u some detail about it & with pics.

joe,
baseball bat is for ur head not for the fenders.

Lucent rolled the rear fenders on my narrow body. No problems at all. It's worth it to go to someone that knows what they're doing.

yep, with the right rolling tool and the right person doing it, obviously not Joe....it's a pretty painless process that doesn't take too long. Visually, you can't even tell that it got done. You'd have to run your hand on the inner side of the fender to even tell that it's been rolled.
