Driver's Side Radiator Fan Broken

Hello. Driver’s side front radiator fan on my 1999 996 stopped working. I checked the fuses and relays, AC on and AC off switch and the passenger side fan works. I ordered a replacement which comes with the ballast resistor. I am wondering if the removal and installation access can be done by just removing the wheel and inner wheel fender lining? Cheers!

I found this youtube video very helpful when cleaning the radiators. Removing the front bumper is about a 15 minute job.
