Clock spring question

So I tackled the indicator stalk unit but when I pulled off the steering wheel the clock spring came apart completely. After some time I figured out how to put it back together. Now I took it for a drive and my steering wheel is to the right and I hear a little click when I turn the wheel sometimes. Is this something I can fix or do I have to take it in? Read on some other sites that it has to be aligned by a machine. Not sure if this is true. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Below is how the wheel is in order to drive straight

Now I've never removed a Porsche steering wheel but if it's like some others you may have to remove it again and realign it to the steering column splines.

I marked everything with a marker and aligned as instructed by the video I referenced for instructions. I'm thinking it's the clock spring but what would like to see of anyone has experience dealing with that part...

If it was straight when you took it off and it's tilted 15% now, you didn't put it back in the same position. Sure, a dealer could straighten it using alignment, but make sure you tell them you removed the wheel. Aligning like that may put you to the end of "adjustability" in your alignment.

Strange because I marked everything prior to removing the steering wheel and aligned all markings with one a other when I put the wheel back. The clock spring I never worked with before and though it's wound together maybe that's off causing the steering wheel to be off?

I made the mistake of taking my wheel off with the front wheels turned (i.e. it wasn't straight) and then putting it back on straight (as though the wheels were pointing straight ahead)...Obviously when I backed her out of the garage and straightened the wheels...my steering wheel was crooked ! Damn!!! What a moron! Unfortunately I had to drive like that for a whole day and it pissed me off no end. Easy fix though I don't know what this "clock spring" is that you speak of...

The clock spring is pictured below. It sits right behind the steering wheel when it's removed. It has to be wound a certain way and was wondering if it wasn't wound correctly if that could cause the steering wheel to be off?

The clicking can be the clock spring. You have to tighten the coil and then release 2x 360 to set the coil. It's written on the clock spring. It's a pain in the butt....been there done that.
The clock spring has a spring tab that can bind with the steering that can make a clicking sound. Check that.
Steering wheel being off....you have the wheel on a tooth or 2 off. You said you marked it but where? My bet is your marking is off or you marked a moving part. If you removed and replaced the same wheel no reason the steering wheel is off. You do not need an alignment. You can correct it with toe adjustment but thats not your issue. remove wheel and move a tooth or 2 to the left and reinstall wheel.
