996 C4S US modell.

Hi. New member signing in from Norway
I have just bought an yellow 2003 C4S that was imported from USA in 2010.
The car still is riding "US-hight", and I wounder how to get it to Euro-hight...
Is it just a spacer or is it more difficult to lower it?

Excuse my english, Im Norwegian

I'm going to assume different struts and springs. Just buy yourself an aftermarket coilover setup. This way you can set it to whatever height you want.

On the C4S it's best to use as mentioned coilovers, Bilstein or H&R Street performance. The other way is to use the H&R Sport Springs, which is what I did and I'm pretty happy with the look and ride.

Also, welcome!

If you don't want to spend a few thousand on coilovers you can get springs. They are much cheaper, they run a little over $300.00 for a full set that will lower your car an inch in the front and rear. Sounds like you don't want to go too low considering you're only looking to adjust it to the Euro "stock" height.

If you want factory European suspension, you need the ROW kit. One good vendor on your side of the pond is to contact Gert over at Carnewal.com. Look under the P96 section for the ROW kit.

This is a great value as it comes with springs, struts, sway bars.

Looks good.
The sway bars I don't believe are included, they're not pictured or mentioned. $2793.47 US plus shipping, for us coilovers may be a better choice, not sure what the conversion to Norwegian currency is.

The coilovers are a combination of strut and spring, it incorporates a threaded sleeve which adjusts to lower the car to the height you want, usually from 1"-2.75". The sway bars don't do anything to the height they prevent excessive body roll when cornering, and yes, as long as you're there upgrade the to stiffer bars, go with the H&R.

Coilover, you can see at the bottom of the spring the "Nut" that turns to adjust the height.

Hmmm, not sure what I want to do now... Maby try springs only. Found a set from H&R that lowers the car 25mm.

Pros and cons on only changing springs?

Well I did just springs, I used the H&R Sport Springs (which I recommend) and like them. Most will say you could blow out the shocks, but mine have worked well so far, and the C4S shocks are pretty beefy. The thisng most people say is that when going at a high rate of speed the front end becomes light, I have found this to be the case over 100mph, so since I usually don't go that fast, I'm not concerned. Ride quality is a bit rougher but not bad.

With coilovers the expense up fron is higher, the ride is a little more rough but still not bad, so long as you use coilovers meant for the street.

With both installation will run around $1200 US nad you will need an alignment. So as far as which one to go with, either will work.
