Any news on a conversion for the 997 C4s rear hips???

I saw a new 997 C4S yestersay and it is so sexy. The hips are close to the 993 C4s, even has stone guards.

I know that it must be extremely expensive, but I was just wondering if I could change the rear panels on my existing '02 C4 cab to look like the new 997 C4s???

I will suggest just get the 997C4S. It will be too much work and $$ to do it.

why bother doing the 997 conversion. there are aftermarket widebody conversions available for the 996. check out eric's or the guy from iforged's (can't remember the name) car. there is a third one on here that is white, but i can't remember his screen name either. a search for widebody under 996 would probably net the pics. i think the iforged demo car was overall 4" wider than a TT. you should have seen the offset on the rear wheels. talk about lips. i think they were 6" or 8".

rwdrift and don relentless also have done this. searching in the 996 forum for widebody brought all sorts of stuff up.

Yep, the conversions are available. Dog is right though, better to go with an existing 996 widebody setup. We can do them!

Marc is in St. Pete, FL. He runs the Motorsports Dept at Bert Smith Porsche.

He just did my SC. They do nice work there and have a good bodyshop/paint guy.

Just get a 996 C4S or a 997C4S, the aftermarket kits all look cobbled, add 500# of bondo IMO, and drag down the resale $ big time.

Does the white car look "cobbled" together? RWdrift's car was featured in a magazine and was at SEMA. Eric's car looks sweet as well. I wouldn't recommend that dorky thing RUF does with the bolt on fenders, but the kits I've seen look factory.
