Playing with plasti dip

I had some spare time over the long weekend and decided to try something new with the headlights. It peels right off but I like it more than I thought. No worries if people hate it

look much better, IMO. I hate the boxster look on a 911. It needs now is a can of Plasti Dip Glossifier to clean it up. So now you don't have the fog lights ??

They have 5 or 6 coats of glossifier. Not sure why they didn't gloss up more but my experience with Plasti Dip is pretty limited.

For now I just covered the fogs because I never use them and I was trying to cover as much clear plastic as I could.

People complain that the headlights aren't round but I think there is just too much clear plastic on the front of the car.

Subject change... I see you had a 00 C2 and moved up to an 07 C2.

How do you like the 997? I am considering moving up. My 00 C4 is my first P car after years of BMW's. I have fallen hard for the magic 911 and now want the best I can afford so I am slowly shopping.

Nice, I like it, a lot

I've always been on the fence with this headlight mod but this looks nice. I think It because you haven't gone silly small with the blinkers. Yep gets my thumbs up approval

I think it looks pretty darn good.

Question - are those the standard headlights for 2000? My lens washer is up above, kind of in between the headlight and fog lights. Why are your sprayers down below?

I love my new to me 997.1 C2S. I thought I would miss my 996, boy I was wrong. I finally get to drive a 6spd mt again & love every bit of it. It was the best decision I ever made. After 8 yrs driving the 996, I thought it was time to move up. May another 8 yrs, I'll get the 991 if the price drop considerably.

My lights are OEM for 99-00. Porsche gave the nose a face lift with new headlights 01 and on

Good to hear. This is my 3rd year with my car and I am looking to move up to 2010 plus or minus a year.

As much as we love our older cars and all the great things we do to improve them you can't match the tremendous strides car technology has made over the last 15 years. Sub 5 second 0-60 time used to be the very top of the exotic food chain now lots of performance cars can achieve 0-60 in the 4's. And get better mileage and are much more reliable.

That looks good! As stated above, add some gloss to it and you are good to go.

How did you outline the headlights so perfectly?

I had mine painted - body shop matched the color pretty well.
