Talking Throwback: our old 996 C4S project car from 2003

Way way way back in the day, when 6speed first started back in 2003, we built a demo car with parts from our partners TechArt and HRE Wheels. It was a 2003 C4S in Lapis Blue with Graphite Grey Interior, and it had the full TechArt Type II aerokit and HRE 542R in brushed, in sizes 19x8.5 and 19x11.5

Oh, those were the days!!!

Very nice! Great to see the original HRE wheels in that design. Most floating around these days seem to be the Rotiform copies.

Yeah, these were so popular back in the day!! I really wish I still had this car, I sold it with only 8800 miles on it back in 2005

Hey bud,

Yes they do still offer the paint to match - however these old 540R series are long gone unfortunately...Here is a snapshot of the current lineup:

http://www.hrewheels.com/wheels

The closest ones to these in the current lineup would be 300 series or the C1 series

If you have any questions on any of these, just let us know - thanks!!

It was the TechArt Type II wing for the Standard 996...unfortunately, they don't make it any more, I already checked
