Exhaust question

I took my 2004 C4S to my Indy a few days back for a slight oil leak I noticed on the right hand side exhaust tip and found the exhaust tip was loose. Quick oil breather pipe and exhaust tip bracket repair later I was told my exhaust is rotten and will need replacing soon after the Christmas holidays. Not bad for the original exhaust on a 11year old car with 109k on the clock.
The Indy said he wouldn't recommend going OEM but they suggest their preferred exhaust made by Dansk.

My question, any reason to chose dansk over OEM or other manufacturer? Any 6'ers have a Dansk fitted and your feedback would be appreciated. Also, do my turbo tips just clamp straight to the dansk exhaust or cutting needed?

It's a performance exhaust, a little more free flowing and better sound and in SS.

So does the sports exhaust mean a throatier sound and less miles per gallon? Is the Dansk a better build or longer life expectancy compared to OEM or just a cheaper option than going to a stealer?

Are they even a known brand?

They're pretty well known, it should sound throatier, some say it does others not so much. Two options I'd look at, Fabspeed or Fisters, if you can get them.

Our Maxflo sounds like it would be the perfect solution. It is a direct bold on swap for the factory system no cutting or welding required. Our Maxflo Mufflers increase horsepower by +12 and torque by +10 ft/lbs making your car feel brand new!

Let me know what you think, there are are few links below!

I have the Fabspeed MaxFlow... It is very tame at idle and regular driving (and i have headers and a Cat Bypass X Pipe!). In fact, I sometimes wish it was a little louder ... but then you step on the gas and it sounds great over 3500rpm. I am VERY happy, passes the wife test. Very refined sound and build quality is top notch. Driving around town it's very cop friendly. Highly recommended.

The RSS mounts make the cabin much louder than the exhaust.

3.6L have a nice sound, and I like the hint of rawness as it winds out. Nice set-up!

Thank you
At idle, you can barely hear it, I must have listened to a hundred different videos on mufflers and exhaust.
if you want to pursue:
Kline headers and X pipe - contact Sambo, Bydesign auto
Tubi mufflers - Emerson @ last call racing

Here is a launch video, it is a little loud

Weight savings is going to be your biggest performance gain and pound for pound that's the best bang for your buck! no pun intended.

Most aftermarket systems are SS so it's really the sound volume/characteristics that you'd be after along with an avg weight savings of 50% over stock.

Tubi's

Alpine
nice sound!
For me being on a very modest budget, the Tubi mufflers were a tough decision, at 10% of a used Porsche value to buy mufflers???
But I did it, and I am happy as you must be.

You too ! You can't go wrong with the Tubi sound IMO. Truthfully, I never really cared for the classical boxer sound which sounded a little too raw and less refined for me that some of the other mufflers offer more of. The Tubi's offers up a more older f1 type sound which I prefer more.

Yes it's VERY hard to justify the price but just like a ssk, this is something you'll notice 100% of your driving experience and worth it to some. Enjoy.
