rvbing000 is infamous around these parts
On-board computer display on 02 911 4S

My on-board computer is on the blink, it's fine when I start out but after about 10 minutes/miles it flat-lines, literally it goes blank/black with a orange horizontal line. Is it something I can replace or does it need to go into the shop.

Any thoughts on this issue?
thanks,
rvbing000

Less likely to be the on-board computer, more likely to be the dash/gage cluster.

My advice would be to seek out a reputable instrument/gage cluster repair shop in your area and speak to someone there about the symptom and listen to what the shop knows about this and what it can do -- if anything -- to correct it.

Or you can call VDO Repair (find the phone number/location nearest you at the link at www.vdorepair.com) and speak to a tech about the issue. You can always ship the gage cluster to where the repair shop is located.
