New 996 Owner Question

Hello all- I am a proud owner of a new to me 2000 996 Carrera. I have added LED running lights and ordered a short shifter after one week of having the car. I have the running lights set up to come on after start up and turn off when headlights are turned on.

My question is "is there some different headlight bulbs to put in that are white and not the old yellow color" ? Close to match the white color of LEDs. On to a couple pics... Thanks for any help in advance.

There are some bulbs out there with a higher color temperature tht will better match your DRLs. In fact, there are LED headlight bulb options available, although I have no experience with them. Be careful with incandescent bulb selection; buy from a reputable manufacturer. Some bulbs have a blue coating to change the color, but the lighting performance is poor. To combat this, manufacturers sometimes increase the wattage of the bulb. Higher wattage means more heat, and you could easily burn your headlight lenses and permanently damage them.

Good luck.
