okay, here's the deal. we only need 5 people to do this to get the 169 price. this is the whole package that you would normally get at the $249 retail pricing. the only diff is that this is the non CAN version for $169. according to the software manufacturer, our cars are not CAN so it does not matter. however, you won't be able to use this on late model Fords or other cars that are CAN enabled though. you do have the option to order the CAN enabled version for $199. it does not matter which version is ordered as long as we order five versions. after i call them back, we will have 48 hours to get all the orders in to get this pricing. i will set the whole thing up. you will need to call do this as internet ordering will not be an option. once all five or more orders or placed, the orders will be processed at the reduced rate and shipped. pretty easy actually. here's the web address again:

don't forget it comes with the speedtracer software. works very much like a gtech pro, but probably way more accurate. just an added bonus.

Why is this the non-CAN enabled version? Their website said that the new version of the software WAS can-enabled. It kind of diminished the flexibility of using this with other cars; indeed, isn't the 2004 996 and all 997 Pcars CAN?

the non can version WILL work with our cars being that the connector is OBD2 and not CAN. i had a long discussion with Jay at AE today about this. however, if you want the non CAN version now, you will have the option to upgrade your kit to CAN for $50 if you should ever need it for another vehicle.
