a coworker at work wanted to trade in his 99 c2 w/ 30k miles, very good condition for a 04 c4s but was very disappointed by the tradein price his dealer offered, and probably will not upgrade. what would be reasonable tradein for 99 c2?

 

i believe it's around $43000.

 

i don't think he's going to see $43k on trade for a 99 w/ 30k unless the dealer is putting the overage in trade in the C4S not being as aggressively discounted.

 

The car is basically 5 years old, he is probably looking at high 30s.

 

I would be surprised with anything over 35

 

trade-ins are ying-yang of moving cars. They will give more to feel better, then reduce less on the new car.
Negotiate best price and then talk trade-in

 

Mike is right, hes lucky to get over 35k, I said high 30s off the top of my head but after looking its lower than that.
