1345 bank one error code need to pass smog test 996
Have a 1999 911 need to pass a California smog test but a p1345 error keeps turning on the CEL .
I have changed the Oil twice hoping that it would free up a sticky variocam ,solonoid parts,so far no luck .Dont want to bring it to the shop just yet. I got a price to replace . OUCH.
The Car runs just fine with no firing or hesitations problems. A shop has already switched the wiring to bank 2, solving the wiring possibility.
Would just like to pass the Smog without tearing into the engine.
Any Advice

honestly I dont see how that is going to happen. If the code keeps reappearing after you clear the CEL, then you need to have a repair done. When you clear the codes the computer needs a emissions reset sequence done so that the computer will read emissions ready when you take it in. I think you are going to have to bite the bullet on this one.
