Cost to Lower?

Hi everyone:

What is a typical cost to lower a 996? I know it will vary based on the springs, etc. I'm just looking for a ballpark generic number (parts and labor) so I can decide if it's something I want to do just to do it, or if the price is past the impulse decision.

Thanks!

Todd

I've just got quoted $375 for the install... And for coil-overs, depending on which brand you choose, could range from $1500 - 6000k

H&R's:400
Install:600
Alignment:100

You can probably do better, especially if you find a place that has done these installs before and can also do the alignment.

Thanks - how much does it alter the ride? I just want to eliminate some of the gap in the wheel wells - I don't track it or anything. Does it make the ride ultra stiff?

LeftLane,
Using Eibachs the ride is a little stiffer, but not much. Car should handle better and will look great, IMHO.

The ride is stiffer with H&R's and the fender gap is nicely reduced. I will let someone more knowledgeable than myself discuss the changes in handling.
