the retrofit is the ball bearing replacement and has a life cycle to replace again after so many miles 50K miles, the solution is a plain bearing replacement that last the life of the car and it a permanent solution. if you value your car and will keep it forever, I would go with the solution fit. they do cost more also.

With a model year 2000, you probably have a double-row bearing. If so, you have three choices.

1. Do nothing
2. Replace with an LN dual-row ceramic bearing (70k mile life)
3. Replace with the LN "Solution" (Permanent, expensive)

All three have their merits.
