I disagree. Look at the driver's headlight. See how the ring around the light is raised, to the point that you can see a sizeable shadow on the top of the light. I believe that Porsche is deliberately disguising the lights. If you look at the second photo you can see that the front bumper/fender on the driver's side sticks out like a sore thumb. It looks like it has a bra on. This leads me to believe that the front is heavily disguised. Look carefully at the lower portion of the hood/bonnet and you can see a line going across the hood between the lights. Another clue is where the bumper meets the hood you'll see that the bumper is raised on each side near the headlights and recessed toward the middle. You can literally see the indentation. But, the biggest give-away is the presence of strakes that can be seen in the top photo underneath the passenger's side. And finally, some sort of light can be seen underneath the driver's side headlight. All these clues leads me to believe that the 997's WILL have a front end similar to the 911's of old. I personally prefer the current light configuration compared to the 997 spy shots I've seen so far.
Also, I think this is a US car. Look where the license plate is, between the taillights! It should be between the bumperettes. But European license plates are longer than US. So they had to mount it on the car above the real plate area.
I rest my case. What does the jury say?

I'm with you Path on the front issue, as I said the weekend.
" I was in my OP dealership on Friday and my contact HAS seen the 997 only a few weeks prior. He stated it's like a major facelift, the shape has been around the 911 successfully for 40 years. So very similar to 996, but with round lights at the front with intergated indicator side lights. No big stake-ups."
Like you say, if you look closely at the front it's false. Someone with a quick hand on Photoshop can unmask the 997 !! A task for someone ??

The headlights are disguised, they are round with silver on the sides to make them look like the present ones, the parking lights in the front under those slats look the same as the photos of the yellow 997, is it me or do the tailights look small?
You know what I just noticed, the license plate numbers are different. The front plate doesn't match the back. It must be photos of two different cars. Hmmmmmm?

20C4S,
That is one hell of a nice job you did!! I bet someone picks this up and it get circulated all over the web. All I can say is that I'm glad I the current style. Even if you factor in the lights in the bumper it just doesn't look as aggressive as the current models. IMO.
Thanks 20C4S!!
PS Darren911, what do you think now? Just curious.
