Part # Information

Curious. I'm investigating replacing a defective ABS hydraulic unit and I have the basic part # (996355755). In the parts list for 996s there are numbers after the base number. Does anyone know (1) what the numbers indicate? and (2) are they interchangeable on any 996? Can't seem to find anything on this stuff.

BTW, I know that some are for cars with PSM and some for cars W/O PSM. So that's not the part I'm interested in.
