Hello,
I have a 2003 Carrera 2 with 110,000 miles and I wanted some advice about suspension upgrading for my winter project. I wanted to buy the H&R lowering springs and the bilstein B6 struts but I'm not sure they are compatible. I am not looking for too stiff of a ride as the roads here in Pittsburgh are pretty bad. I think this combo will lower my car about 1 inch. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bilstein B8s are intended for lowering springs. I put this setup on my 2003 C2 last winter. Nice upgrade. Shocks are much firmer and less floaty, yet no harsher than the stock ones (with 100,000 kms on them) they replaced. I didn't measure but I'm going to say likely 1.25" drop. Nice but not crazy.
Techart or Eibach Springs and Bilsten B8s.
It is a great set up, ride is ok, handling is exceptional .
The car control is stable and predictable on the street and on the track to 135 mph.
Thanks for the reply, I was going to buy the B6's which were the wrong ones. Your car is very nice by the way. I really like the rear spoiler, is it from the Aero II kit or aftermarket?

Thank you
It is a Carrera Aero II
The B8, is made for the lowered 1" springs, if you don't get the right shock, it will not work properly with regards to the area of piston travel.
