Decklid Spoiler Twist- No switch present

After buying a 1999 Carrera 2, I realized there is no rocker switch, just a hole for one in the fuse box bottom cover.
Can anyone assist in providing some fundamental information; how to identify which wire colors and what they do, e.g. positive/negative/spoiler up/down?
Was wanting to get at it today and get er done. Just want to know my next move after removing the fuse box and finding the loose wires with no switch attached. I prefer to have it up all the time and don't need a "switch". Can they be joined together (wires) to maintain this attitude?

Genuine thanks for your reply, but- all this talk about moving the switch and the complexities people get them self in is a rabbit hole I have no interest in.
The foot well switch is fine with me, I drive barefoot and can/would rather operate it with my toe! The engineers put it there for a reason.
My only missing knowledge necessary to accomplish what I am going to do is;
How many wires/color(s), and what do they all do.
Once I find that, I'll take it from there.
My switch is not apparent, the dash light for the spoiler is on, and the spoiler works flawlessly as it should, I just don't see the switch in the panel where it should be.
I need to know why the light is on,
Thanks, again!

That thread shows the connector that the switch plugs into and the color of the wires. I don't know what else you're looking for. The dash spoiler light should be on when your first drive off and then should go out. If it's staying lit it might have something to do with the missing switch.

I read through that post twice and do not see where they talk about the color(s) of wires going to or from that spoiler switch.

I guess you need some hand-holding. No worries. We all were beginners once. These are a few images from the post. There are more.
