why shady? a p-car dealer is simply trying to find buyers (at a disc to msrp) for his tt cab inventory which he didn't expect to be stuck with (at a disc to msrp even).

sorry nick, but as the e-mail said, there are only "certain markets" where these already overproduced cabs are doing well. the rest of them are selling at discounts to MSRP - when they can get that.

give the guy an e-mail and prove it instead of listing your single example as the rule instead of the exception.

I just received this e-mail back. I don't know if I'd call $2k "thousands off sticker," but it is a discount.

I have two TWIN TURBO CAB 911s' if that is what your are looking for. Both are Arctic Silver over Black Full Leather. Brand New, 135,570 and 132,315 respectfully. I am offering the 132K car @130K and the 135K car @132,870. If you are still interested, let me know and I can email you the options and VIN.

Thanks,

Jason

P.S. I'm 20 Min. NE of Cleveland OH

A PORSCHE dealer had 3 cars well discounted in the newspaper, a Turbo cab, C4S cab and a C4S coupe.

no way jas, they can't be discounting. after all, the single car in the single city was sold by a single dealer in a day after nick cancelled his order :-) btw nick, as someone depreciation sensitive (especially owing to a very short anticipated holding period), i think you most def made the correct decision in passing on that MSRP priced TT cab.

btw, that guy offering $2k off MSRP was his STARTING offer. i'd think it would take the negotiation skills of a monkey to work more off that.

Ben,

I just wanted to point out that $2k is far from "thousands off sticker." For some reason you've had a major hard on for the TT Cab since it was announced. I don't think any of us ever expected to own these cars for nothing - these are Porsches where talking about not Ferraris. Yes, I paid list, but I've had may car for 2 1/2 months already and have thoroughly enjoyed each of the 1,800 miles I have already driven it. It's always nice to get a discount and no one wants to pay more then they have to. But as I said before whether someone gets $2k or $5k off, it's just bragging rights.

Eric
