911 996 Unidentified Mysterious Leak

Hi guys, Just wanted to run this here before I raise the vehicle to inspect so I know what to expect. I'm getting this leak under the 911 somewhere in the center. It's yellowish, thin but oily and smells like a cross between oil and antiseptic. I know its not engine oil because engine oil is thicker. It is also not power steering fluid because PWF is red. It is also not tranny fluid because ATF is also red. Not also brake fluid because I checked the BF level always at max and BF is thick and colored dark yellow. What could this be. Please see pictures and video I took.
Is it condensation from the AC? Then why is it yellowish and oily and smells like antiseptic? Is it coolant leak? Then why is it not warm? Is it airconditioner compressor oil leak?

Collected the fluid and its thin yellowish and smells a little like antiseptic.

Leak is somewhere in the center part of the 911.

Here's a video while it's leaking...

Hope someone has an experience on this. TIA guys!

My first guess would be coolant if it's coming from the center of the car. The coolant lines run down the center of the car in the channel. If I'm not mistaken there is a rubber Y connector that is known to fail over time which in turn will begin to leak.

The fuel lines run down that channel too and so make sure that's not a leaking fuel line. That could be dangerous!

thanks b3freak and happy new year.

i checked the coolant level and it's ok - still at max. Also, coolant is not oily right? It also do not smell like oil + antiseptic.

Does 99 octane petrol smell like antiseptic? Honestly and respectfully asking because I dont know what color it is. The last time i checked (this is in the 90s) its pinkish in color and smells like gasoline as in gasoline.

Im guessing its compressor oil...but I still have freon and ac seem to be working fine. I'll run to the ac shop this weekend and try to smell what compresor oil smells and looks like. I will update you.

Again, thanks man! Cheers!

If it were me, to rule out gasoline, I'd take out back and pour some on wood and put a flame to it. hahahaha. Water hose in hand of course.

The best way to identify the source is to remove the plastic panels and with the car running identify the exact line (and photograph) that is leaking. Then using a shop manual or part diagram, identify the line. The AC refrigerant lines run down the passenger (US cars) side of the car near the jack point. And so, I'm not sure it's compressor oil. Remember petrol is a solvent and it will mix with oils that are around the lines which would give you the impression it's something else.

Good luck!

Got it B3! Will update when I get the chance to lift the vehicle and crawl under it. Thanks!

I'm thinking fuel line leak. The fuel will take the oil off the surrounding area while running down and make it seem oily. I have seen gas look yellow out of the pump as well. Take the cover off, trace the leak, and see which line or fitting it's coming out from.

I generally agree with all diagnosis above - looks like gasoline to me - pour it into some water and see if it floats. A couple points though. #1) Porsche power steering fluid (Pentosin CHF 11S) is NOT red - It's dark green (so not the color of the stuff that's leaking either). #2) Trying to guess what the leak is on a forum is pretty silly - remove to bottom plastics and look to see where it's coming from... or #3) Take it to a shop and pay them to find it...
