C4S Aerokit Rear Spoiler

Refer to attached image:

Does anyone know if you can retrofit the C4S rear spoiler red reflector strip to a the TT aerokit rear spoiler? It looks great on the C4S w/ factory Aerokit.

Thanks in advance.

Porsche now has a aero kit for the C4S. Check under Tequipment, and for a little bit less money might want to try www.mashaw.com and www.gettdesign.com

J993:

Did you take the actual picture?

Does the C4S Aerokit attach to the existing engine cover or is it a whole new one-piece decklid and spoiler like the TT?

TIA,

Eric

it is a whole new decklid Eric - just like the TT (actually different wiring harness so the TT one does not technically fit on a C4S)

That will be a full replacement decklid, I have not seen any C4Ss with the aerokit yet.

I am currently putting the Porsche Aerokit on my C4S right now. I will post some pics when I pick my car up.

The kit includes a front chin spoiler as well as a complete rear engine cover and spoiler.

Reflector strip

Eric:

The car is at my local dealer - the only problem is that I am in Central America working! So I cannot check it out personally.

I cannot believe that the C4S and TT factory Aerokit rear decklids are that different unless there is a deeper recess on the C4S lid to accept the reflector strip. I am researching this now.

Can someone measure the depth of the outer face of the reflector to base of decklid thickness on a normal C4S?

Jeff

it has to be deeper because if i remember (im 8000 miles from my car) on the TT, the wing bottom is flush with the tail lights and the same thing on the C4S...Thus, adding a reflector strip on the TT will make it stick out. Besides, on the TT the model designation 'turbo' is on the part where the reflector strip is in the pic above...The reflector strip in this case I guess is supposed to mean "Carrera 4S"

just a personal thought...

i think what makes C4S unique & beautiful is the clean line & that red reflector. the butt just looks so nice on the car. i just don't think the aero kit looks good on that car... especially they are the same styly as Turbo

20, Im with you on this, the thing that sold me on the C4S at the time was the widebody and no tail, just clean lines and the rear looks great with no tail and the reflector strip, doing that stuff to a C4S I dont understand, there are as new Turbos out there to be had.

just measured

The strip measures 3 + 15/16 inches from the" outer face to the decklid ".

thanx carbonissimo...
Can we get the thickness on that too??
BTW - your tint looks sweet - what %??
Just so everyone here knows I would never add the strip to my TT since that is what distinguishes the two models from each other...Its like 996TT owners who put "turbo S" on the back of their cars...That just doesnt exist!!
