C4 cab tail light harness no power

Hey guys, got pulled over lastnight for a tail light being out on my driver's side. Reverse lights, rear fog light, directional/hazards all work. Replaced the bulb, for the taillight and nothing. Side marker is out as well. Grabbed the test light, no power getting to the pig tail of the vehicle side harness for the marker/tail light. License plate lights and everything else seem to be in order too. A1/3/4 fuses check out okay. Wondering how to access the loom of wires that go through the grommet in the tail light housed to see if there is a broken wire or where they lead too. Or maybe I'm missing a common issue all together. Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify, you are referring to the dual filament bulb and the side marker? And they have separate power wires but share a common ground with the rest of the tail light assembly according to the wiring diagram. Grey w/ Black tracer for the side marker portion; then Black w/ Yellow tracer for the brake light portion. And neither of these have power at the tail light connector, correct? Also to clarify, I know you said the fuse for Row A Fuse 4 checked okay, but there is power into and out of the fuse? Also, add pictures in the future so we can all be sure we're on the same page. Common issues of the system I see are the headlight switch or the tail light sockets themselves. As far as accessing the wires, you'll just have the follow it and take stuff apart as you go. I don't have one in front of me, but it probably goes into the wheel well or the engine bay. Not sure of the extent of your melted bumper from the exhaust incident, but may'be it's related and there is a melted/damaged wire. You could always overlay a wire from the outlet of the fuse to the tail light connector/pin for the side marker to check, or Ohm test the wire. Also, the brake light portion of the system should be good up until at least the splice, since the other brake light works and they share the circuit until the splice. So the issue should be the at/between the splice and the tail light connector.

Sorry for the confusion, there is power going to the fuse port, and yes the dual filament bulb and the small side marker. I replaced the headlight switch last year with a brand new one for a separate issue that I thought it would rectify. Thank you

For anyone else that has to trace wiring in the future, the loom of wire goes under the convertible top compartment, down the center of the car, to a block, then rund thought the drivers side of the sill. And that's where I found the broken wires. Under the rear driver's speaker.
