correct technique for maximal braking?

for maximal brake performance (70-0, 100-0) w/ 6 sp's, do u depress brake pedal only, or is it 2 feet in, or do u actually try to downshift as u r braking as hard as possible?

Hit the brake pedal hard. Hard enough to trigger the ABS. The limiting factor in how quickly you stop, in your hypothetical, is the amount of GRIP your TIRES have with the pavement. There is only so much grip available; your brakes are strong enough to trigger the ABS, which maximizes the use of that limited grip to stop the car.

Trying to use the transmission and engine braking does not help - remember, your brakes are already using the maximum amount of grip that the tires can provide.
