Hey Greyghost, who would of known such a simple question would generat so much feedback. I agree with you that it is a nuisance to wash the car and then the wheels again because of the rust on the rotors. I use to wash my car then drive it to eliminate the rust and to rid the majority of the water on the car before I dried it. The problem was, this created a rusty mess inside the rim that I would have to re-clean. I since learned to cover the wheels with plastic, a garbage bag works well, then wash the car, drive it to eliminate most of the water , then wash each wheel with just a wet towel ( including the inside of the rims) so that the rotors never get wet and therefore no rusty mess. Hopefully, my technique works well for you as I completely understand how you feel and of course one must keep the inside of the rims cleaned. Take Care, Rob

 

Driving after washing never worked for me.
The stuff from the wheels gets ejcted onto the bodywork and and all over the wheels instead of just on the bottom of them. All I end up with is a car with wheel crud all over it. Maybe I'm driving too fast?

I wax my wheels with One Grand Blitz Wax. Use P21S for the wheel cleaner. As for the washing, I wait a little while and wipe
the wheels with a damp towel. I'll have to look into the Rejex product.
