Thanks for the info! I am currently considering selling my Cayenne S to get a 996. IN the past I've had (2) A4's, an Audi TT, a Boxster S, and now the Cayenne S. I occasionally take my sportbike to the track and was looking for a solution. While I had the Boxster S, I picked up an F150. While I had the other cars, I had an S10 also. I finally got tired of having the extra eyesore sit in the driveway and have to deal with extra insurance registration, and maintenance so I sold the Boxster and F150 to get the Cayenne. Now, I want a fun car again. Can you provide anymore info on how to get or fabricate a similar setup?

Here are some pics of my old A4 towing my bike to Willow Springs and the Cayenne with my 2 sportbikes on my trailer. Oh, I would also consider getting a lighter/smaller/narrower or possibly folding trailer to stow away in the garage next to the toys and 996.

Thanks,

I wouldn't install one on my P, but I have to admit that's a very clever design.

I love narrow minded people like you.

If I had a car and a motorcycle for every purpose... I'd have about 7 bikes and 5 cars. I see that as pointless, but to each his own.

I don't know why you think it's embarassing for me. I'm not embarassed at all. If you're embarassed for me, that's on you. As for the spinners... nice one... another tough guy behind a keyboard. man I love the internet.

I think he's telling you that the Porsche SUV is O.K. for towing but the 911 is not......

Hey, noticed you on Pcars too..... No post..... Checked out your site, pretty neat...

Hey Eli, nice meeting you. I'm an old friend of Irving's and live down the street from him. yea... i registerd on Pcars when i got my Cayenne. I'm in the market for a 996 cab or if the price is right, a 996TT. I'll probably se you around soon. I noticed you lived in Alhambra. Thanks for checking out the site.... haven't updated it in 2 years and I am working on re-doing it entirely soon. oh, as for the guy above... I know what he is saying and everyone knows what opinions are like so whatever. I no there will be nay sayers and it might not be everyones cup of tea, but it the solution seems to work for others. the hitch on my A4 was a regular production piece and if used within specs, works great. I know the 911 has enough torque and enough of a structure to handle such a light load. I didn't say that I would do it for sure as I have another SUV at my disposal, but one day I may look into this too.

I got what you said... The Cayenne works great to tow and actually tows about 2000 lbs more than my F150. The AWD makes it perfect. All I'm trying to say is I currently don't want to make payments on a Cayenne and 996 and if I have to choose between the too, the 996 is what i pick. I don't tow that often to justify a purchase of another truck. perhaps in the future, i will pickup another Cayenne (a turbo if all goes well)... hopefully to take the 996 to the track.
