it is not worth trying to screw them out!! You will have to take out the complete dash......I pried them out with a screw driver as explained on renntech...and just pushed the new silver ones in place and it is a perfect fit.

The pedals look great.. I recently got a set. Any tips on installation? Did you just do a direct bolt on to the existing rubber pedals? Thanks...

Yup... they are not a snap in item. They are held in with very small (2mm)allen bolt head screws. (on the '99 996). The strip that reads "airbag" has 7 of them!
The other two small strips have 2 screws in each. I took my dash out to upholster with leather... that's how I found out. ;o) Talk about work! That dash is held in with MANY screws etc.... in impossible to locate areas too! What a puzzle.

Next up for the interior, I want to do that thin strip that divides the dash (between the passanger airbag and glove box and also on either side of the steering wheel) in alumalook, and hopefully later the side air vents and the rear center console in alumalook as well. All in good time.

thumbs up for bumperplugs!

I just did the same pedals as well but without the rubber. how did u do the accelerator? did u take off the old accelerator and then but the alum on, or did u drill into the accelerator and but the new one over it?

where are you drawing power for the V1? does it shut off with the ignition? Could you please point me to a DIY or did you just figure it out yourself?

thanks !

It actually sets off the interior, I was glad I finally got around to doing it.
