Opinions on a '00 C2 Cab

Hey guys,

I'm a bimmer guy try to make the switch to a 996 and I found this deal on a '00 C2 Cab with 34k miles on it for a bit under $40k. It's silver with black interior, 2 owner car with a hardtop accessory. I checked edmunds and it seems to be a legit deal. I'm just trying to determine if this is a good enough deal to jump on, or should I spend about $10k more on a '02? Any input would be great. Thx.

The major differences between 00' and 02' C2 are the "Turbo looks" Headlight ,added HP, and a real glovebox. It all depends on if you think those upgrade/changes worth $10k more. Also, with '02 you might be able to find one with warrenty (or CPO) which is a good thing to have.

I have '02 C2 Cab with Hardtop and couldn't be happier. IMO, if money is not an issue go with '02.

Regards,

Agreed, go with the '02. Another thing to consider is that with '02 and later they come with a glass window in the cab top ... the before that they come with plastic and you will end up replacing ....

Can you get a 02 cab for around 50 K? If you have the money go for it.

That is correct and imo better resale. Also there are other changes in the suspension and bumbers etc. All in all a better car.
