3rd Brake Light Not Working

After installing a new wing and hood cover, my 3rd brake light stop working. I had to cut a few wires to remove the factory tail and hood. I probably should not of just hacked away. But I did.

Also dash light pops up when it wants the factory tail to go up. Ted at EVS says just to ignore it.

Anyone else have these problems after installing aftermarket wing????

I had similar issue after installing an aftermarket wing (fixed) on my 996. I had to replace the factory wire harness with an OEM wire harness for fixed wing. This bypasses the brake light on the stock wing which is no longer there. The cost was $41 and it was a 5-10 min job. Give your local Porsche dealer a call, they should be able to help you.

Thanks

I just called the dealer and they have this part that was for my cabriolet, but it was only 33.00.

They called it add a third brake light for a a fixed tail.

Hopefully this is it.

Thanks!
