Help me pick an exhaust for my C4 Cab.

Hey guys, I am looking to change out the exhaust in my 996 C4 cab. I am not sure what to get. What would you guys suggest? I dont want to spend too too much on one, but would like something that sounds good, is good quality and will fit my factory tips. I have so far been leaning toward, Supersprint, fabspeed, zero-tek, and possibly agency power. Does anyone have any suggestions? Sound clips would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

Since you got a Cab, you should put GHL on your list. There are many of us that consider the Fabspeeds too loud with the top down...GHL is a little quieter.....

I actually did look at the GHL, but the post before yours said they were quiet. I dont really care if they are quiet. I prefer a more of a race exhaust. Something that is somewhat loud will not bother me unless it is too loud. Have you heard anything about the supersprint or heard it? What about zero-tek? Any idea about agency power?

the ones that are liked are:

GHL
Fabspeed
Porsche Sport Exhaust
Ruf
Techart
Gruppe M (sounds VERY good)

not in that order, any other ones are either not tried or not liked.

I happen to love the PSE.
I have a Techart replica and I find it too quiet.

Ok. Looked around a little more. I love the gruppe m especially the blue torched tip look. Can you describe the sound at all? I have heard it on e46 m3s and it sounds ricey. Does it really have that nice high pitched f1 sound, or similar? What about tubi? how are they in terms of sound and most importantly price? Does gruppe m offer decent hp and tq gains?

You should also consider Dansk. I have their "Super Sound" model and have yet to hear an exhaust that sounds better- absolutely in love with it.

Do you have any sound clips? How much, if you dont mind me asking, and where did you buy it?

EDIT: I looked for the Dansk Super Sound and could not find anything. I found a stainless steel and pressed sport Dansk for the 996. What is the diff between SS and pressed sport? What is the super sound? How does it sound?

I just got back from a 3 day DE in LCMT and had some of it video taped, including my car.

I had a lot of people telling me that may car sounding great on the track, and after watching the video, I would agree that I liked the sound of my car the best. I have 99 996 w/ factory sport exhaust. Much different sound than the other aftermarket exhausts.

Here ya go...http://www.jpgroup.dk/images/feed/s..._compressed.pdf.

This will show you the three models that they offer. I bought mine through DP Motorsports during a group purchase that I had organized with them. The Super Sound is a ~$1400 retail system, and I paid $850 through the GP- got an amazing deal. Hope this helps...

I've had stock, ghl regular, ghl loud, fabspeed. The best sound and quality by a wide margin is fabspeed. The ghl regulars seemed well built but were barely louder than my stock cans, while the louds were outrageously loud and lacked the quality I was after. The fabs were the best, never should have gotten rid of them. Checkout 'mufflers exposed 'on the fabspeed site.
