I have a 2003 996 C2. It has the electic deck wing thingy that goes up while driving (which I have never verified).
How do I get it to go up while I am stopped? I want to see it work and that is hard to do while driving.
If this is super obvious I am sorry but I can't find a button anywhere, I don't have the manual, and I am new to p-cars.

Thanks that was it, even with the info it still took me a good 3 minutes to find it, its all black, its dark out and my garage has only 4 lights. I did have to hold it down for it to go up and again to go down.
How do I know if it is deployed while driving? Also what speed does it deploy at?

I own a 99 & am able to see the tip of mine in my rear view mirror
when it is up.
Maybe the newer models are different enough that you
are not able to, I dont know.

99 996.
Spoiler activates at 75mph-----lowers at 35mph. Yep, I can see it too. I manually lowered it above 75 once and I could definitely feel it, car felt floaty.
my 2 cents worth.

It's amazing how much difference a wing can make. Now sure if anyone here watches Top Gear but one episode featured the Koenigsegg CCX which did not have a wing on it. The car was difficult to control around the track and the Stig actually crashed it at one point. Koenigsegg took it, put a wing on it, and sent it back to Top Gear to be tested again. It performed much better and actually set a new lap record for the show.
I watch Top Gear when I can. I used to have to be creative in finding it as it was not broadcast in the US. Now it is on locally so I can get my fix. One of my favorite shows was with the M3 CSL a couple years back.
Thanks for the help on the wing questions.

cheap and easy ways of checking if it goes up/down.
1st- Have someone go with for a drive, have them sit in the back seat and watch.
or
2nd- Put a piece of tape over the spoiler/body loosely but enough to not fly off, but enough to break as the spoiler operates. Go for a drive and stop, if the tape breaks, it works ;-)

can I make mine go up manually & stay that way even when driving around, until I decide to lower it... then it will continue to work the way it should... like an over ride?
When you manually raise it, it will automatically go back down when you hit 45mph.
