BTW: This reminds me of a funny incident. I was putting in gas one day and a girl walked up to me and said, "That's a really nice camera (she pronounced it like Camaro with an a)."[/quote]

Promise me if that happens again, you'll get the girl's # !!!

Did anyone notice the earlier cars had the emblem on top slightly below the spoiler and the later cars had it closer to the bumper?

Yes, 99-01 had the emblem above the hump, 02-04 had it below the hump, including the targa. Interestingly, the 40th anniversary had a "911" badge with a two-tone silver/black shadow that went on top of the hump pretty well. Looked good.

I have a black 2003 C2 Cab. I changed my emblem to silver for the contrast. It comes off quite easy when you heat it up. Becareful when applying the new one, it feels magnitized and sucks itself to the vehicle as you line it up! The adhesive is very strong once it sticks forget about even adjusting it a hair! I bought mine at the dealer for $35.

Concidering replacing my silver "Carrera 4" with a black one (or "911") on my car. And add a set of black-cromed ex-tips. And I need a 3rd brake light in white.
Wadoyathinkaboutthat?

Ps. No need for color photography any more...

Black 911 or 996. Or a white Carrera. Or a red Cammerra.
