Typical cost to convert C2 to Turbo look?

I see some of you have Turbo front and rear bumpers on your non-turbo cars - both wide and NB. I have seen the ads for aftermarket Turbo bodywork for NB cars and would like to know your experiences and costs involved. Assuming a stock C2, what would it cost to purchase, fit, paint and install:

Turbo front bumper
Turbo rear bumper
Rockers?

And what about the wing? Can I leave the stock C2 deploying wing? Are there any air flow issues resulting in changes in stability at speed with bigger openings in the front?

Thanks

I have the gt2 front, rear and wing from Precision Porsche as well as their T/A style rockers. Bought em thru Vivid Racing for about 3750. Fitment was very good for aftermarket parts.

I personally think you should switch to a new wing to match the lines of the rest of the kit.

What I did was get good looking used parts....they have to be prepped and painted anyway so small nicks and stuff dont matter....i got my front for $450 complete with grills and lip spoiler....I got my rear for $300 complete as well...I had the rear modified for a narrow body by a body shop and fitted...paint and prep prices I am not sure abou as the rear bumper was ppad for by a rear end accident.

Does a Turbo front fit a C2? It is only the rear that is wider?

Turbo front will fit a 02+ C2/C4...Its standard on the C4S (with a different lip) and the 04 Anniversary 996.

So are you also asking how much to widen the car? I assume the fenders fit fine, the real question is the rear quarter panels. I like the wide look but I don't want to put fiber glass on my car.

I think he judt wants a Turbo Look narrow body...in which care the front end is the same as an 02+ narrow body and he can either get a turbo look rear bumper or a modify a turbo rear to fit a narrow body. Now the skirts he can use teh GT3 skirts...the TT rockers are molded into the body work....

there are a few kits out there.....Raj at Venice Collision does them and I am almost positive they are steel...you can go for just a TT conversion rear....or you can go even wider...310-202-1555 is the number call them and talk to them....

Raj did this one....

More pics here....

yes that will fit, but you need the grills, lip spoiler and all the hardware....its these little things that may cost you alot especially if you have to get them from the dealer....be careful. For example the lip spoiler alone is $250...the grills may be another $300 total...so it'll double the cost of the bumper....I would not care about the primer job so much as getting a complete bumper with grills and lip....

Post a turbo bumper wanted ad at the for sale section and i'm sure you can find some good used bumper with the grills and lip. many tt guys upgraded their front bumpers to either GT2 or techart bumpers and i'm sure most of them still have the factory bumpers collecting dust in the garage.

try to find a bumper that is local to you..
the bumper si soo big that it costs a pretty penny to ship it... at the end it may not be worth buying from a seller thats far from you..

ups will not ship it bec it is too big specialty carrier like saia will..
