699 is pretty damn cheap.
I have the FVD headers and pipes and while they are more costly, I do love the sound from them. I've heard some Fabspeeds that sound awesome too.

Do you feel the headers are worth buying? impressions? i just recently installed the gemballa exhaust and want to do intake, headers, and chip and then be done with engine mods.

I did my pipes, headers and chip all at the same time, then ended up a few months later (2 I think) doing the EVO intake. The whole package was excellent. It sounded awesome thanks to the induction roar and seat of the pants "felt" quicker.

I thought I'd be done after that too, but ended up pining for the SC. I think I'm done now... famous last words.

Ok so, whats the deal with headers. why do they all look like on is longer than the other, but they say they are equal length? any info would help.

I felt they were worth buying because they were cheap. For the price of just the exhaust, I got heders and exhaust. Didn't dyno the car, so I don't know if they make power - but the car sounds damn good!!

If you are looking for the best value i would modify the stock exhaust. Open up the cans and take out the beans, close 'em back up. Sounds great and is real real cheap(just labor). No CEL, no 02 sensor problems. We charge around $750 to do this and our customers always seem to be very satisfied with the finished product.

if u have a 99-01 996 i believe the best is gruppe M i only know of one car that has it..

OVer90 here in the board sounds agressive and loosk good too

Bumble996 actually had it on his car too: his review of it ...

My personal observations:

Fit & Finish:
All welds and bends are immaculate as well as the brackets and tips. I personally love the look of the system, with a nice stainless polished look with flat grey
tips with GruppeM polished logo. (There is also a GruppeM emblem on the drivers side cannister). The system bolted up with no issues, the tips lined up perfectly as
did the piping - no adjusting needed to complete the install.

Sound:
One word - Wonderful. Not droney or annoying, actually quiet at idle, but once above 3K or when on the throttle it has a great tone that is not as high pitched as a Capristo for Ferrari, but not that hayness deep sound of the typical fast and furious import either.
A true motorsport sound that I've been looking for, with solid motorsport style tone when on the accelerator. It really has to be heard to appreciate it, I can't quite put the sound into words.

Performance:
I'll have dyno numbers shortly and hope to have the GruppeM Filter Ram Charger for the 3.6L as well - all depending upon the availability of the car (more mods to come!).
I've noticed better throttle response as well as quicker accelleration at speed, but again - this is all seat of the pants. GruppeM always does great R&D on their products, I'm sure they have a Dyno sheet sitting around that I may be able to get ahold of.
I have no qualms believing that this system has improved overall performance, their track-record can back it up as well.

Dealer:
RENNSport is the authorized distributor for GruppeM products in the US, other so-called distributors are buying through UK distributors, be smart - by direct from RENNSport.

I like the exhaust, almost bought it for my 996 C4 cab, but i dont like the round tips. i dont think they match the porsche body as well as oval tips. i went with gemballa, and the sound is pure BLISS! i DO think gruppe m is good stuff tho.
