on our c2 (still not put the blower on) the flash and intake made the most noticeable difference (and it showed on the dyno too). The exhaust did absolutely nothing but sound... high-flow cats set a CEL off on the NA cars (fussy buggers) and the headers (different for different ones) showed a gain of about 8-9hp which I don't notice. The gain was in the higher rpm ranges only. I wouldn't do exhaust/headers unless you want sound only...

1 - Crate 3.4
2 - GIAC Chip
3 - Headers - looking for opinions
4 - Mufflers - looking for opinions
5 - Flywheel - Farmbaucher? looking for opinions
6 - Brey-Kraus deep oil pan

I think this will get close to the 3.6 in power, and be a drop in and fairly reliable.

Any thoughts / suggestions would be much appreciated

Rich

Stock 3.4 works great.. We do offer a drop in 3.6 based on the old 3.4 email me for cost and options..
GIAC yes the only way to go.
Mufflers = minimal to no power regardless of what anyone says., The most I have documented was 4-5hp
Catalyst-- Highly recommened and will make power I would recommend the Cargraphic high flow cats.. And the car will pass emissions. NO CEL
Headers will extend that torque curve but will depend on who's headers you choose.
Flywheel- Shameless plug we have our own just as good if not better than anyone else's.
Deep Oil Pan-- Sure works if you are tracking the car..

So thats my take on the lot.. Done this several times..........

email me directly for more info on the 3.6= based on the 3.4 / 99 engine fabryce@gmgracing.com

Dude.. just remember there's NO WAY that stock brakes can be improved either The stock ones would have likely sent us into that sweet truck that pulled out

I was hoping you would help and instead you said "What you really need is ANOTHER C2 etc..." Choices!

That's really odd that only the high end suffers with the OEM mufflers. Anyone know why the high end suffers with the OEM mufflers but not aftermarket? I would have thought that the aftermarket will help both the high end and low end and OEM wil affect the the whole range as well.

my understanding is:

the oem muffler is restrictive. the back pressure it creates is great for combustion chamber packing at low revs. at higher revs the engine needs to breathe and would want less back pressure because the exhaust velocity is higher. aftermarket mufflers are more of a straight thru design. because of it's nature there is less back pressure and less restrictive.

That explains why on higher RPM my car feels more responsive with the AP exhaust...

I love that f50 kit on these cars with the 14 slotted front and back... The blue C2 cab SC track car was our litmus test for those Works a treat on the lighter C2s. What truck?

I will let you know man on those and the monoballs really help. Remember we didn't even do the top arms yet (just lower!).... The JRZs are so darned good. I'm not sure what to do. I'd have though that the double adjustables would have been more fun but not sure...
