add oil? how much?

add oil? how much?

so i warmed up my car - tried the oil level gizmo -it wen through its cycle and shows 2 bars low - now what? how much would you add?

I wouldn't worry about it until it starts showing two bars from the bottom. You should also use the dipstick for more reliable readings. Also, consult your owners manual.

Take a quart, add a little and check the level again. Continue the process until you have the sufficient level. Keep your car running while adding and checking. Turbos dont have a dipstick so I have to check with the computer. But if you have both then check both at the end just to make sure. Turbos eat oil like crazy but non-turbos should not. I add a quart every 700 to 1000 miles depends on how hard I've been running the car. But do double check with the manual and a mechanic.
