Another question I’m sure has been asked a million times:

What do you guys do with your stock parts post mod? I’m accumulating quite a pile and it is only going to get worse! With the exception of the stock mufflers which I just traded for some interior trim pieces, I have:

Air box
Exhaust tips
Interior trim pieces
Exhaust manifold
Radio/CD player
Six CD changer
Side markers
Third brake light
Hood badge
Plastic center caps
Springs

I have a bunch more mods planned, so the pile is going to get bigger and bigger. Will it be a resale issue to not have the stock parts? Should I try to sell them on E-bay? Find someplace to store them? Throw them out? What do you guys do?

 

if it's worth anything i sell it. the rest goes in the garbage (ie suspension, stock exhaust, etc...)

 

In owning a few modified cars in the past...it's in your best interest to keep all of the stock parts.

As you tire of the car and eventually move to sell the car the car is worth little more with the mods on the car than a stock car would be worth...and this is only to the "right" buyer. To a dealer it actually makes the car worth less in the event that you would look to trade the car

You get a much better return by returning the car to as close to stock as possible and selling off the Mods. It does however suck to store all of the stock parts though.

On a side note, any interesting interior trim pieces you want to sell? Shoot me a PM if you have anything in alum or carbon but I doubt it.

 

I'm keeping all my parts, just in case my exhaust gets to annoying one day, I can go back to the stock ones... one never knows.

 

I suppose I can keep the stuff. It's going to be an issue when I start trading bodyparts. Bumpers take up a lot of room. But, I agree. Selling the mods after returning th car to stock would be best. If I ever sell my baby. Which I probably never will....

(Sorry, no CF pieces. just stock stuff).
