Anyone bought these seats off ebay? They look pretty good for the price...

the same seats cost $110 less when they are listed for the BMW's. I guess you'll have to pay a premium to drive a porsche....since it's a "best offer" listing, i'd say $1000 is a pretty good deal. Or else just get a pair of used OEM GT3 seats for ~1800-2200. Better resale value for the OEM seats as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...mZ220049296467

I think it comes with application specific sliders, that may be the cost difference... Anyone know any place that would stamp or embroier the P-crest on the headrests?

I have heard HORROR stories about these seats....how they were made for demo purposes, not for actual use...I would be afraid if being in these seats and getting in an accident.....Heard they also were not very well made or solid.....you get what you pay for....

the pictures they use (as seen above) are from me at my shop when i posted right after i received them. they are REAL CARBON SEAT FROM PORSCHE MADE BY RECARO not fake. the seller photoshopped the Porsche crest out in front & Recaro logo in the back.

do not buy them!!! if they have time photoshop other people's picture why can't they take picture of their own product? go figure...

You should report this to ebay and get the auction taken down then!

Could you be more specific? Who manufactures them and what happened in terms of the horror story?

these seats have been discussed before, they are really flexable, the agreement is that they are not safe for use in the even of an accident! i was really interested in them since i have a Savannah Beige interior and these are cheap enough to get recovered....but i guess i'm stuck forking out $4000 for a new set...

If you do, please take some time to take pictures of the product and how the quality turns out to be. If they are as good as they look they might have lots of new customers!
