That price is insanely low, even if its 2 cars welded together.

Let's assume it was burried beneath one of the levees that broke when Katrina came roaring through town and was only recently re-discovered by a bulldozer reparing the damage, that the DMV refuses to give it even a salvage title, and that the HRE "style" wheels are styled out of balsa wood. It still seems a little low . . .

I sent an email. If it sounds too good to be true, it is! It still amazes me how many people fall for these scams. I'm sure the story will be one of the standard scams:
1. I recently moved to Europe and I can't register the car here because the emissions (or something) don't comply.
2. I starting a business and I need the money to finance it.

I'm sure the stories will all say the following:
1. The car is located in Europe.
2. I'll ship it to you for free.
3. I'll send you a cashier's check for $10000 to cover your cost for shipping or blah blah blah, just send me back a check for the thousands of dollars you don't use.

I think I actually recognize this car too, but I can't think of whose it is!

This car was on ebay about 3-4 months ago. I remember it well. I will check, I think I may have saved the auction. The reserve was something like $40 grand.

Yeah, this is a scam.

Shame there is nothing in the pictures to give a location to the machine itself.
I nailed a scammer last year while trying to buy a waverunner for the girlfriend.

The guy said he was in London now, the Jetski was in California, San Francisco area. He wanted me to wire money obviously. I asked him a series of questions like ... has it been in salt water, has it been serviced frequently etc etc etc and has it every been outside of California.

The dude didn't get it. He tells me the waverunner has spent it's entire time in California, never been out of fresh water lakes.

I ask again, has it ever been out of California ?

Nope, never.

Then please explain why it has a TEXAS REGISTRATION ?

(sounds of crickets)

Dufus couldn't tell that the numbers identify where it was registered.

Doh !
