Just finished installing my B&M short shifter & EVO Shift Link bought from Eric/bumperplugs.com.

There was the same setup in the C4 I just sold so the new to me TT was not going to last long without one. It takes the very ordinary shifting transmission and transforms it into a precise superb feeling shifting setup.

The instructions were clear and precise took max 2 hours and the next one could be easily done in an hour at a relaxed pace.

Thank You Eric for the best priced (I could find) new B&M Short Shifter and EVO shift link I had found and a great product.

G.L.

The EVO link is made out of Aluminium i think. It replaces the factory "plastic" piece. It is not necessary for get the feel that you will get from your B&M SSK. I plan to replce link soon with the EVO. I already have the SSK....and like it much.
Make sure you check tranny cable adjustments before you remove the factory shifter.....there is no adjustment tool for the B&M that I know of.

later

There is an adjustment tool that hold the shift in a certain position for cable adjustment.

that's about it

hey eric,

a little offtopic here, but can you tell me how you managed to get a key hole next to rear console lid covered? you have it pictured here:

http://www.bumperplugs.com/images/CenterConsole.jpg

is that a door plug? if i order a center console, will it come with that hole already plugged in?

Just got back from picking my car up. Finally got the SSk installed after a month or so haha. Well like everyone has said this thing should be standard and its awesome. When I first got in it was in Neautral so I went to take off put it in 1st and started laughing its like Night and Day. Before it was like...Clutch in 1 2 3 shift ....Now its like Clutch in BANG 1 thats it. Thanks Eric for a great price and quick shipping. This thing is a must and is A1 Steak Sauce

Thanks guys, and Cabova, you got that right. It's the #1 mod everyone with a stick should do.

We're keeping the price down at $199 as a thank-you to the communities here and on these boards. Get 'em now.

I ordered one this weekend along with center and upper console! Can't wait to get it. I didn't get the EVO link since a quick search seemed to put it in the nice to have category, but not critical.
