more 996 pricing question
Originally I posted it in the classified but later realized that I don't have a 100 post yet so naturally it was deleted.
regardless, I had my ad in Craigslist for a few weeks now. I had a handfull of people asking about it, but no real buyer yet. I priced the car according to kbb average of trade-in/private party value @ $36.5k for a excellent/good condition 2000 C2 with 34k miles.
Is that a fair price to ask? or has the 996 value drop significantly to the low 30s and yikes, even under 30? Is it really not that desirable car anymore?
what reasonable pricing should I expect if I want to sell the car quicker in private party deal? What typically would the dealer realistically give for a trade in?
The car is in northern california so we don't really get affected by the snow/seasonal slow down.
any help is greatly appreciated!!

Yup it did drop. Price usually drops in the winter and goes up again in the summer though even in Cali... go figure.

From the TMV pricing you showed, sounds like I should just enjoy the car until spring time then try to sell it again then? The pricing will probably be the same selling it now vs. selling it then?
FYI
I'm up in northern California, and very recently paid in the very low 20's for a high mileage 1999 coupe with a new crae motor

anyone recently traded in their 1999 ~ 2001 coupe to the dealer? just curious what the dealer is now giving pricewise?
The person I bought mine from wanted to trade it in for a 2006 at the dealer, but he would not accept their price. Once again this is a high mileage "Plain Jane" coupe, but very well maintained, with a new crate motor.
