Newbie here... 1st Post

Hey Guys, been a lurker for a while, just got approved to post.

Longtime Volkswagen enthusiast, probably owned over 20
aircooled Volkswagens over the last 20 years of driving since
getting my license. Over the years I have always dreamed of
one daying owning a 911.

I bought my first Porsche about 3 years ago, it was a 72 914.
Sold it 6 months later. Forward a couple of years and I bought
a 1999 Black Boxster with 15,000 miles in March of 2006. I
was planning on keeping the car for a year or two until I could
save up more money for a down payment on a 911 Turbo.

Unfortunately, after only owning the Boxster for 6 months
I came accross a really good deal on a 1999 Carrera. So I
traded in the Boxster and stepped up to a 911. Not a turbo,
but at least it is a step in the right direction towards my goal
of owning a Turbo 911.

I plan on keeping my eye open for 01 996TT this coming
year in 07. Hopefully I can find another good deal

By the way, I also own a 1967 VW Beetle with a 2.3 Liter
Motor with almost 200 Flywheel HP.

thanks guys for the welcome

Yes, I have definitely moved up the ladder faster then I ever dreamed
(This is only because of finding 2 great deals on 2 really nice Porsches)

Now, If I can only get 1 more good deal on a 996TT, I will have finally achieved
a lifelong dream. I hope it happens soon because Im really itching to modify
my current 911, but dont want to waste money that could be spend on the TT.

Good thing you got rid of your Boxter because your directional rear tires are on the car backwards.

The Beetle and the 996 is a great driveway combo!

Some of my friends try to **** me of by saying that my Carrera is basically an evolved Beetle. I kind of agree... :-)
Good luck chasing that turbo, it will come to you!

Ps. Is that Glacier white? Very seldom see that around here.
