Seems like every car can benefit from a set of lightweight Crank and Acc pulleys?

There is no need the motor is under four liters there isn't that much stress on them like a eight liter motor. and they a designed perfectly by porsche engineeres for that aplication.

Here is one for the Lotus elise: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...oducts_id/9153

Even for Scion TC!
I would think a smaller engine would benefit more???

Vivid has pulleys for Multiple BMW's including the M3 and m5, Mercedes, ect... are Porsche pulleys already lightened?

If you find any, please post. I've tried to find anyone who produces a set and have failed.

I don't know the size of the engine is of any relevance, because the first example that comes to my mind is the S54 engine (E46 M3). It's 3.2L and owners/dynos have shown great results with a set of LW pulleys.

My only conclusion is that Porsche made them optimally from the factory. There IS such a thing as too light.

I dunno. Prolly 'cause it's a ricer thing with no real (i.e. verified by a dyno) benefit. Just a guess . . .

They do look kinda cool though, but the friction issue is a lot more about the internal friction egenrated by what those pulleys are driving than about what they weigh themselves.

I've heard in some cases lightweight aftermarket pulleys can end up damaging the car. I forget for what reason but it seemed to be a topic with the G35s.

Yes, some people claim that lightweight pulleys vibrate more and damage the crank...this is a quality issue I would assume. The lotus pulley I linked too mentions this...
